If you would like to see a small snippet of what the ECUFPA staff, as well as some of the local Greater Stutterheim FPA staff, have been getting up to, here are two very short interesting articles for you to read that have appeared very recently in some well-known publications within the fire, disaster and forestry industry.
The first article is from SA Forestry Magazine and gives some insight into the Working on Fire (WoF) / Dept. of Environment, Forestry & Fisheries (DEFF) Forestry Support Program (FSP). ECUFPA is currently one of the UFPA’s in the country that are part of this program and is responsible for managing the program in five DEFF Plantation Estates in the Eastern Cape Province.

As August is celebrated as Woman’s month in South Africa, it is very important that we always highlight the achievements and abilities of our woman, especially when it comes to an industry and profession that is mostly dominated by men.
With Woman’s Month in mind, our second article is from Fire & Rescue International Magazine and gives you some insight in two of our very own local ladies – Farha Ally, who is the Hogsback Regional Manager for Greater Stutterheim FPA and Aneliseka Mangxila, who is currently an Intern at ECUFPA under the Groen Sebenza Program.
We encourage you to take a few minutes to read this article, so that you can get just a brief glimpse of the day-to-day activities of these two “fiery” ladies of ours!! To access this article, please Click Here. This article is courtesy of Fire and Rescue International Magazine.
