FDR (Fire Danger Rating) – For those who don’t know, this is a system used to determine the likelihood of a fire occurring and the consequential dangers thereof.
The Rating is determined by using a combination of the temperature, wind speed, relative humidity and rainfall (i.e. the LOWVELD Fire Danger Rating System). The higher the determined rating value, the higher the fire danger – i.e. from 75 to 100 is RED, which is the highest fire danger colour band.
