The annual 2018 Fire Prohibition Notice for the Eastern Cape Province has been released.
NO BURNING OR OPEN FIRES ARE PERMITTED AS FROM 1ST AUGUST 2018 – 31ST OCTOBER 2018 WITHIN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- Amathole District;
- Chris Hani District;
- Joe Gqabi District;
- O.R. Tambo District;
- Alfred Nzo District;
- Buffalo City Metro.
NO BURNING OR OPEN FIRES ARE PERMITTED WITHIN THE FOLLOWING AREAS ACCORDINGLY:
- Dr Beyers Naude Municipality from 1 August 2018 until 31 March 2019;
- Blue Crane Route Municipality from 1 August 2018 until 31 April 2019;
- Makana Municipality from 1 July 2018 until 31 January 2019;
- Ndlambe- and Sundays River Valley Municipalities from 1 November 2018 until 31 January 2019;
- Kouga – and Koukamma Municipalities from 1 November 2018 until 28 February 2019;
- Nelson Mandela Metro from 1 November 2018 – 30 April 2019.
